'Tis The Season For Giving...
Each year, Costar Video Systems takes time to celebrate the holiday season as a 'family' by hosting an annual Christmas Party for its employees and their significant others. This year we hosted our Christmas Party at Farina's Winery and Cafe in Grapevine, Texas. It was a wonderful evening filled with food, fun and family. In conjunction with this annual event, Costar Video Systems and its employees also give back. This year, we chose to partner with The Salvation Army of Lewisville to adopt angels from the Angel Tree program.
The Salvation Army is a national organization with more than 7,500 centers in communities across the United States. These centers provide food distribution, disaster relief, rehabilitation centers, and a wealth of childrens' programs.
During the holidays, The Salvation Army collects donations to provide Christmas dinners, clothing, and toys for families in need. The Salvation Army's Angel Tree program provides new clothing or toys for children. The Angel Trees are decorated with numbered paper angel tags with the first name, age and gender of a child in need of presents.Once a child has been registered as an “Angel,” The Salvation Army makes a promise to provide Christmas for that child.
Each of our employees adopted an angel from the tree. The presents were purchased and the donations were delivered to our local Salvation Army. We were able to make a difference by providing 30 children in our community with clothing and toys for Christmas. We are extremely proud of our employees' generosity and hope to continue this tradition for many years to come.
