Focusing a camera is a job that isn't always finished after installation. Sometimes the view of the camera will need to be changed requiring the focus to be adjusted. Outdoor elements such as extreme wind and rain or other vibrations that can cause the camera to shift out of focus. Whenever focus challenges and changes arise, having a remote focus camera is the answer!
Motorized lenses allow the user to adjust the focal length and focus of a camera through the software interface. Each of Costar Video Systems' remote focus cameras use the free iRAS Video Management Software. The software is easy to use, especially when it comes to focusing cameras. The graphic below shows the button control for the focal length and focus in the the software. The one-touch focus button will automatically focus the camera.
